Away, Away From The Noise

There are 15 days now. Fifteen days until I take off for the land Down Under all by myself. I've been leaning on God a ton as I'm about to step out of my comfort zone, which is where I know He likes me to be. And as I reflect on what I'm feeling about the whole picking up and leaving the steady lifestyle that I have finally acquired thing, all that keeps coming to mind are a few worship songs that I thought I'd share. Hopefully some could help you too if you're planning on trying to venture into some unmarked territory this year as well.

1. What A Beautiful Name // Hillsong Worship

This ones a new favorite of many, and for good reason. The parts of that song that truly break me up inside every time is when it says 

You have no rival. You have no equal. 

...

What a powerful name it is. Nothing can stand against. 

Sometimes I think that I look at the world as this big raging fight of God vs. Satan. But this just sets me straight every time. He has no competition. There is no versus. He is over it all and so much more powerful than anything and everything that comes our way. Satan falls to his knees at the sound of just His name, and if that doesn't encourage you then mmmm read it again! NOTHING CAN STAND AGAINST. That includes everything from Satan too (fear, anger, sadness, shame)!!!!

2. Met by Love // United Pursuit

I did a cover of this song and had to cut out half of it because I got emotional. It's so good. 

We can run straight into your arms, unafraid. 

Cause every time we need you, we're met by love. 

You want to know one of my stupid fears as I was heading out to these new countries? I was afraid I'd need a big hug one day and I wouldn't be able to get that comfort. Haha! Sometimes I swear I'm the most dense person. Because God, he gives me something so much better than a physical lil squeeze. I ask God for a hug, and He slips me supernatural peace and an overwhelming amount of love. It's like having your anxiety, your beating heart, your trembling fingers, your welling tears, all of it (!!) just being held in the loving hands of Jesus. Seriously, when you're feeling low, try it out. Ask Him for a freaking hug. And signed, sealed, delivered, you got it.

Whatever it is I'm doing, if it's to worship Him, then what else matters?! There's seriously nothing. And there is nothing that scares me when I'm in that place of worship, that place when I'm worshipping until my voice is gone because I just want to be louder, I just want His praises to be LOUDER. So here I go, to get away from all the noise, so the only sound there will be will be His worship. And that sounds freaking amazing. 

Don't get me wrong, I still have butterflies about it all. But the whole "God won't give you what you can't handle" thing? Yeah that's not a real thing. You'll get way more than you can handle, just like I am right now. But fortunately, my God's hobbies include walking on water, calming storms, and creating the heavens and the earth. So I'm pretty sure He can handle what I can't.
